About The Position

Hanwha Qcells is seeking an experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager to oversee the Annex, Auxiliary Building, Exhaust/Ventilation, and Electrical systems for manufacturing facility construction projects. The MEP Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, installation, and integration of critical building systems while coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in MEP management for manufacturing or industrial facility construction.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and exhaust/ventilation systems.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC), ASHRAE, NFPA, and other industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deadlines effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in solar, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing construction projects.
  • Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer), LEED AP, or CEM (Certified Energy Manager).
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MEP systems in Annex, Auxiliary Buildings, Exhaust, Ventilation, and Electrical infrastructure for manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with design and engineering teams to review and approve MEP plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Supervise subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality installation of MEP components.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, OSHA safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Lead system testing, inspections, and commissioning to verify functionality and performance.
  • Monitor MEP construction progress, control costs, and adjust plans as necessary to maintain budget and timeline.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with MEP installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of MEP installations, test results, permits, and compliance certifications.
