About The Position

The MEP Estimator is responsible for independently preparing mechanical, HVAC, and/or plumbing estimates, technical proposals, cost models, and risk analyses for complex institutional and mission-critical projects. Requirements

• 3-5 years of estimating experience in the MEP disciplines (Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing).
• Experience does not need to be exclusively mechanical—strong plumbing or HVAC estimating experience is equally valuable.

Responsibilities

• Estimating Leadership Lead estimating efforts on assigned projects from kickoff through proposal delivery
• Perform detailed take-offs across mechanical, piping, HVAC, and plumbing scopes
• Conduct cost modeling, labor analysis, system comparisons, and historical evaluations
• Develop detailed, professional proposal documents
• Assist in risk evaluation, contingency modeling, and value engineering
• Document, Design & Constructability Review Analyze plans, specifications, addenda, and coordination drawings
• Identify scope gaps, risk factors, and constructability issues
• Work with design/build teams on system selection, design‑assist efforts, and feasibility reviews
• Subcontractor & Vendor Management Solicit, review, and level subcontractor proposals
• Assist in procurement, vendor buyouts, and material pricing strategy
• Client & Team Collaboration Participate in internal and client-facing estimate reviews
• Provide technical insight to Business Development and Project Management teams
• Contribute to scheduling, phasing, and logistical planning
