About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Design Phase Engineer I that will provide support to Data Center leadership during the design phase as it relates to customer experience, financial performance, scheduling, estimating, design and planning resulting in a smooth transition to MEP construction operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Electrical, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills
• Ability to travel up to 100%

• Preferred experience with an electrical or mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team in achieving scope and budget alignment, schedule alignment, an integrated team experience, construction readiness, and excellent financial performance
• Assist with establishing and managing project budget and scope expectations, budget trending logs, and any associated communications and resources
• Create and manage project schedules and key milestones, hold team members accountable for reaching set milestones
• Assist in regulatory approval and permitting process
• Assist in the preparation of bid packages and contract manuals
• Support MEP bid analysis and subcontractor selection
• Identify technical design and specification concerns for MEP scopes, escalate as needed to achieve resolution
• Review MEP options and generate systems analysis
