Part-time Mentor needed in Naples
About The Position
Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We are currently looking for support for a 19-year-old male who needs assistance with safety supervision, activities of daily living, and community outings. He enjoys drawing, Play-Doh, doing crafts, and math games. This is an independent contract position and pays $16.00 per hour Schedule: Wednesdays 6:00 PM -8:00 PM and Sundays 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Are 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
- Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
- Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
- Complete daily progress notes
