About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a compassionate and dependable Mental Therapy Aide to support patients in a psychiatric care setting. This role involves assisting with both direct and indirect patient care while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience with psychiatric or behavioral health patients (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure or crisis situations
- Must pass pre-employment health clearance
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
- Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care under nursing supervision
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with patient admissions, documentation, and orientation to unit routines
- Support physical examinations and collect specimens as needed
- Monitor and document patient intake and output
- Assist patients with hygiene and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Transport patients within the facility as required
- Build therapeutic relationships and engage patients in structured activities
- Intervene in crisis situations and report any changes in patient condition
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Perform routine safety checks during assigned shifts
- Communicate patient updates effectively to nursing staff
