About The Position

This is a unique position to support specialty psychological and mental health services to spouses, significant others, and family members who are caregivers for individuals diagnosed with dementia. This position will collaborate with the Carilion Clinic Navigation Program in providing specialty psychological services that include: Individual psychotherapy services, Group psychotherapy services, Support and community education services.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university required.
• Two to five years of experience in the mental health profession.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or RN CNS required.
• LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy services.
• Conduct group psychotherapy services.
• Offer support and community education services.
• Interface with patients on medical floors and ED.
• Provide assessment and triage counseling.
• Facilitate admissions or outpatient referrals.
