About The Position

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Outreach Case Management Services Coordinator, provides a variety of paraprofessional mental health services to consumers, both in the office and the community or in consumer homes. Job duties include but are not limited to; assisting consumers in utilizing community resources, securing benefits, learning daily living skills, and medication deliveries. Duties also include providing transportation for consumers from state and out of area hospitals, including local urgent medical appointments and scheduled appointments. This position will also assist professional staff in identifying problem areas, developing and carrying out consumer treatment plans. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of six months experience working with persons with emotional impairments is required.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.
  • Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. An individual may be excluded from consideration based upon driving record.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
