Assists patients with activities; attends to the patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. A Mental Health Worker should be compassionate and very patient. Must be even-tempered, can solve crisis and work as a team member.

Requirements

You care
At least one year of previous work with mental health experience is desired
High school diploma or GED
A Mental Health Worker should be compassionate and very patient.
Must be even-tempered, can solve crisis and work as a team member.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Facilitate groups and activities as scheduled
Provides crisis intervention/assistance as needed
Completes documentation requirements
Observe and communicate any changes of condition or behavior to the appropriate charge nurse and nursing supervisor
Provide 1:1 counseling sessions with residents as behavioral needs require
Assists with monitoring floor/hallways, and 1:1 monitoring as needed
Other tasks as assigned
