About The Position

As a Mental Health Therapist with Evolve, services will include clinical assessments, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy as needed. Clients are seen both in person and virtually. Evolve's OMHC offers a base salary plus fee per service following a set number of sessions.

Requirements

• Must adhere to confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2. (HIPAA)
• Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competence in current principles and practices, including all aspects of providing assessment and referral services.
• Must be compassionate and caring, with experience in a variety of psychological issues to help address the mental health needs of the population served.
• Must have the ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
• Must have the ability to handle stressful and demanding situations, while maintaining exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to adhere to all ethical guidelines set forth in accordance with the state of Maryland.
• Proficiency with the utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and internet navigation preferred.
• Must have the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work well within a team environment in support of the company objectives.
• Should demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
• Should demonstrate flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description.
• Should have the ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions based on the facility/department’s guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Maryland with one of the following credentials: LMSW, LGPC, LCSW, LCPC.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive initial evaluations to assess mental health and substance use history, determine treatment needs, and develop patient-centered treatment plans.
• May provide individual mental health counseling to individuals depending on program demand.
• Facilitate structured therapy and psychoeducational groups for individuals, with the majority having co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
• Monitor group participation and individual behaviors to assess clinical risk, provide appropriate interventions, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams, including therapists, substance abuse counselors and prescribers, to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, licensing, and HIPAA standards, including progress notes, treatment goals, and evaluations.
• Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation when necessary within the scope of outpatient care.
• Contribute to ongoing development of group curriculum and quality improvement initiatives based on population needs and clinical outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
