The Legacy Hall Therapist(s) is/are responsible for providing trauma informed, individual therapeutic services to support adolescents and young adults (16-21) in the foster care system who reside at Crittenton. Now in our 122nd year of service to the Charlotte community, Crittenton is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower women and children through education, health, residential care, and supportive services. We envision ending the generational cycle of poverty and trauma, creating better tomorrows. We’re nationally accredited and guided by a trauma-informed model of care to make our clients feel safe, supported, and empowered. This role requires experience working with survivors of sexual and physical violence, childhood neglect, intimate partner violence (IPV), and children who have witnessed IPV. The therapist should have a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and evidence-based therapy modalities to support foster care youth transitioning to independent living. Preference will be given to therapists with lived experience in the foster care system. This is a contract/grant-funded position.
