About The Position

Mental Health Therapist- School Linked Services People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our School-Linked Mental Health Services team. School-based mental health services reach children in everyday environments. The natural, non-stigmatizing location offers an early and effective environment for intervention. Also allows for increased opportunity for coordination of care with the therapist having access to children in their school sites with school team. This increases access for busy families and reducing variables that may prevented individuals from receiving care. Schedule: Hours are usually 8:00am - 4:30pm. Three options to choose from 1.0 FTE 40 hours a week with a caseload during summer vacation .9 FTE 40 hours a week during academic year Reduced hours in the summer 20 hours per week for 8 weeks. Location: University Avenue Elementary: 9901 University Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434 Hiring Range: Salary variable on licensure and qualifications. Salary below reflects 1.0FTE hiring range. Licensed Mental Health Professional: $74,000 - $80,000 annually, plus $2,000 hiring bonus for external candidates. Unlicensed Clinical Trainee: $60,000 - $65,779 annually, plus $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates. Requirements

  • Licensed Mental Health Professional: Master’s Degree in the behavioral sciences
  • Current clinical license as a mental health professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT) with no restrictions.
  • OR proof of current clinical licensure as described above within 60 days of employment
  • Unlicensed Clinical Trainee Master's Degree in a behavior science or related field.
  • Working toward clinical licensure by obtaining required clinical supervision hours and client contact hours outlined by the appropriate licensing board.

Nice To Haves

  • Current and valid licensure as LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC or license-eligible
  • Current certification in specialized area (EMDR, DBT, Trauma, Narrative Therapy, or Neuropsychology)
  • Current and valid evidence of being a Minnesota Board Approved Supervisor for one or more of the professional boards.
  • Experience collaborating with school systems and school personnel
  • Proven success collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
  • Previous experience in providing services to children, adolescents and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with children, parents, and other family members
  • Conducting individual therapy and as needed, conducting family and group therapies
  • Creating and implementing treatment plans and regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans
