A vacancy currently exists for three (3) Mental Health Therapist (for the 2025-2026 School Year) within the Division of Student Services at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These are 260-day (12-month) positions located on the CCIU Coatesville Campus. This position is responsible for facilitating and providing direct therapeutic interventions consisting of group and individual therapy, treatment planning, designing and implementing effective interventions and strategies to promote therapeutic recovery. The therapist is the lead team member responsible for coordinating therapeutic intervention. The therapist will be responsible for completing required documentation such as treatment and discharge plans, psycho-social history, daily progress notes, and insurance forms. The therapist maintains close communication with the child's parent(s) to monitor and promote progress.

Requirements

  • Licensed mental health professional (LSW, LCSW, or LPC) required
  • A Master's Degree and at least one year experience in a CASSP system, school, or employed by a licensed mental health services agency or subcontracted agency, required
  • Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
  • Current PA Child Abuse History, PA Criminal and FBI Fingerprint Clearance, required

  • PDE School Social Worker Educational Specialist Certificate PK-12 preferred
