About The Position

Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our growing Outpatient Clinic in Ashburn, Virginia . As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll provide individual and family therapy for teenagers and young adults in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) , helping youth and families in the Fairfax County community access high-quality mental health treatment close to home. Our experienced therapists support families through evidence-based care, specializing in treating adolescents facing behavioral health challenges . We offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma , and emotional regulation .

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Virginia licensure or eligibility for one of the following: Registered Supervisee in Social work, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, Resident in Counseling.
  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT.
  • Provisionally licensed therapists are welcome to apply! We provide supervision to help you gain your clinical hours.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of clinical experience in an outpatient, IOP, or PHP setting.
  • Experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
  • Passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and families.
  • Strong clinical documentation and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with outcome-based treatment planning and assessments.
  • Willingness to obtain a CAQH profile and NPI during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-centered care through individualized treatment planning, weekly 1:1s, group supervision, and team collaboration, with an average caseload of 22 to 25 billable hours per week.
  • Facilitate family, group, and individual therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches to support therapeutic goals.
  • Provide consistent family communication, including parent coaching and ongoing support.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with state regulations, including reporting, confidentiality, and agency coordination.
  • Lead discharge planning and program completion, aligning with outcome measures and treatment standards.
