New Jersey Mentor, a part of the Sevita family, provides Residential and Treatment Foster Care services to youth who may be facing out-of-home placements, transitioning back into the family home or independent living alternatives, or involved in the juvenile justice system. This is a temporary position, created to support operational needs during the absence of an employee who is currently on extended leave. It could become permanent. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in human services field required
  • Licensed - New Jersey Issued LSW, LCSW, LAC, LMFT or LPC required
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport.
  • Active listening skills with a focus on empathy and guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A reliable, responsible, solution-focused attitude and a compassionate approach to whole health care
  • A commitment to quality in everything you do

Responsibilities

  • Help guide children we serve to their fullest potential while in the comfort of their homes
  • Conduct child and family therapy sessions face to face
  • Support the development and implementation of service plans
  • Compose treatment plans and encourage engagement in various therapies
  • Organize and lead treatment meetings through active participation
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring/collateral agencies
  • Integrate whole person care through a strength-based lens
