Mental Health Therapist – Crisis Care Center Do you enjoy working in a meaningful and mission-driven environment? Join our integrated medical team to support clients as they stabilize from a behavioral health crisis. The Mental Health Therapist is a part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and works closely with the medical team to provide direct services, and will be responsible for providing crisis stabilization and completing suicide risk assessment and goal plans. The individual in this position is expected to subscribe to the recovery and trauma informed care models. We are hiring MHTs for the following shifts – Please note the shift(s) you are applying for when you submit your application: MHT Day Shift – Sunday – Wednesday (4x10s) MHT Day Shift – Thursday – Saturday (4x10s)

Requirements

  • Must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes course-work in psychological diagnostics.
  • Four or more years of clinical experience in the field, specifically with SMI population and individuals in crisis.
  • Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Associate’s License or Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License.

  • Dual license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client screenings, intakes, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate levels of care and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing case management and care coordination, including collaboration with primary care providers, psychiatric services, and external partners to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Deliver individual counseling and crisis intervention services, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and stabilization support.
  • Utilize evidence-based clinical practices, diagnostic tools, and lifespan development knowledge to inform treatment, justify diagnoses, and ensure age-appropriate, culturally responsive care.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary staff on behavioral health needs, monitor medication effects in coordination with psychiatric providers, and facilitate referrals and information exchange to support holistic client care.
