About The Position

Join us at Embark's short term adolescent residential treatment center in Springville, Utah, located in the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range only a half hour from the Salt Lake Valley. Students live in a family style residence where community and interpersonal relationships are encouraged. Our staff offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families that include multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify change.

Requirements

  • Minimum master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences - Social Work (MSW,) Clinical Social Work (CSW,) Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or a related discipline.
  • Active Utah licensure or eligibility for one of the following: Associate: Certified Social Worker (CSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) & Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC). Fully Licensed: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) & Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC).
  • Ability to pass a state background check.
  • Required to have CAQH profile established or updated if you have one and obtain an NPI number for credentialing purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of working experience as a therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy : Conduct therapy sessions that integrate trauma-informed care and systemic approaches to create meaningful change in families.
  • Personalized Caseloads : Manage a focused caseload of no more than 6 clients, providing high-quality, individualized care with a commitment to family programming and parent coaching.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: Emphasize your knowledge and experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions (DBT, TF-CBT, Smart Recovery, Seeking Safety, ACT.)
  • Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and regularly collaborate with interdisciplinary team on individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence‑based practices.
  • On-Call Support: Therapists participate in a on-call rotation once a month to provide support during the evening and weekend.
  • Develop discharge plans for students, ensuring thorough review with both students and their family members.
  • Crisis Intervention & De‑escalation: Utilize trauma‑informed de‑escalation strategies to support students in moments of heightened distress, promoting safety, emotional regulation, and restoration of therapeutic rapport.
  • Maintain compliance with treatment standards through meticulous & timely documentation of notes and adherence to MTP (Master Treatment Plan) standard requirements.
  • Cultural Competency : Apply developmentally appropriate and culturally competent care, addressing the unique psychological needs of each client.
