About The Position

We are currently hiring a Mental Health Therapist - Residential for Nexus-Gerard Family Healing located in Austin, MN. Our team of therapists at Nexus-Gerard is specially trained in trauma and stress, and we're committed to helping families stay together, heal, grow, and move forward. Our treatment approach in youth residential helps address behavioral and mental health issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, oppositional behavior, ADHD, borderline personality, bi-polar conditions relational problems, attachment issues, parenting support, family conflict, sexually problematic behaviors, and emotional/physical/sexual abuse. Requirements

  • Minimum of Master's or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy, or related fields.
  • Interest in family-based philosophy and practice is required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Licensure: LPCC, LICSW, LMFT (salary offer will reflect fully licensed & experienced candidates!)

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy services to at-risk youth and their families.
  • Create and drive a trauma-informed environment, establishing and maintaining a positive treatment culture.
  • Engage in and have active involvement in Family Collaborative Intake meetings.
  • Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) functional assessment.
  • Develop and monitor individual treatment plans in collaboration with family, youth, and providers.
  • Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused.
  • Participate in all youth-related treatment team meetings, using family-centered language and youth-driven principles.
  • Assess readiness for discharge in conjunction with the treatment team.
  • Coordinate and recommend therapeutic services for success after discharge.
  • Coordinate/communicate aftercare needs of the client with family and all necessary social service and community providers.
  • Ensure all required client reports, records, and documentation are produced accurately and maintained in a consistent, timely, and professional manner according to policy and regulated statutes.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding mental health, medical issues, background treatment and comply with all HIPAA related requirements.
