About The Position

Under a board-approved supervisor, provides clinical and consultative services to prevent, assess, evaluate, and treat mental emotional or behavioral disorders of youth ages 3-20 within the Wellness for Children and Adolescents Restorative Empowerment (WE CARE) Clinic. Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in-clinic, 2 days from home.

Requirements

• Knowledge and clinical experience with mental health issues.
• Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment.
• Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Up to one (1) year related experience
• At minimum, registered with the Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as an intern.

Nice To Haves

• Strongly preferred Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• QMHP eligible and on track to LPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling and case management services for patients using evidence-based practices.
• Performs crisis interventions as needed.
• Coordinates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patient in care.
• Provides liaison between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient’s care.
• Consults and assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
• Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
