About The Position

Pacific Clinics is California's largest community-based nonprofit provider of behavioral and mental health services and support. Our team of more than 2,000 employees speak 22 languages and are dedicated to offering hope and unlocking the full potential of individuals and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, research-based services for individuals and families from birth to older adults. The Mental Health Therapist I position involves providing individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients and their families, conducting clinical assessments, and offering field-based and outreach services. The role also includes case management and advocacy services.

Requirements

  • Registered, licensed-eligible AMFT, APCC, ASW or Waivered Psychologist OR Newly licensed Psychologist, MFT, and LCSW with less than 2 years post licensure experience.
  • Experienced LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist with a minimum of 2 years (level 2) or 5 years (level 3) post licensure experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to relate to a culturally diverse clientele and staff.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills in the appropriate language for the Clinics' clients are highly preferred.
  • Familiar with Windows operating system, MS WORDS, EXCEL, email, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct family-centered, strengths-based, culturally competent individualized intakes/assessments.
  • Complete Service and Coordination Plans, progress notes, and other DMH required documentation within two to three business days of service delivery.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to clients and/or their families.
  • Conduct outreach, advocacy, and rehabilitative services needed for ongoing cases and in crisis intervention.
  • Provide case management, linking clients and their families to appropriate resources.
  • Work with the treatment team to provide coordinated care services.
  • Interact with other internal programs and external sources such as school or community personnel.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
  • Model Pacific Clinics' approach, mission, and core values in all communication and correspondence.
