The Mental Health Therapist I-II position at Point Quest Pediatric Therapies in Galt, California, is designed for professionals dedicated to providing therapeutic support to students with various learning and social/emotional needs. The therapist will be responsible for delivering individual, crisis, group, and family therapy as outlined in each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This role requires the development of comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention consultations, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met in a supportive and safe environment. The therapist will also participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, collaborating with other healthcare providers and educational staff to create and implement social/emotional goals for students. In addition to direct therapy, the therapist will maintain accurate client session schedules, progress notes, and necessary reports using the company's secure online databases. As a mandated reporter, the therapist must report any suspected child or dependent adult abuse immediately and maintain confidentiality regarding all client information. The position also involves attending weekly supervision hours with a Licensed Clinical Supervisor to fulfill Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements for licensure. The therapist may be asked to provide specialized training on therapeutic topics for other staff members and is expected to complete all BBS mandated Continuing Education annually.
