About The Position

Location: Community based position in Kansas City Metro Area Organization: The Family Conservancy Job Type: Full-time Compensation : The role described below offers a base salary of $55,000-$60,000. Your offer will be determined based on how your qualifications align with the requirements of the position and internal equity. The Family Conservancy (TFC) is seeking a bilingual Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of higher education in social work, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of an LMSW for social work applicants.
  • Clinically licensed practitioner (LCSW, LSCSW, LPC, etc.) or become clinically licensed within three years of hire.
  • Bilingual fluency in written and oral English/Spanish to service Spanish speaking clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience making clinical diagnoses of clients utilizing the DSM-5 preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with underserved populations, highly traumatized individuals, and those experiencing domestic violence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose clients in accordance with DSM-5 criteria.
  • Administer evidence-based treatment modalities based on clinical judgment and client needs.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments to guide treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, updating them as appropriate.
  • Meet regularly with clients to address concerns and support progress toward goals.
  • Provide therapy and support in both Spanish and English to ensure culturally and linguistically responsive care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Communicate with client support systems as indicated to ensure continuity of care.
  • Make referrals to external service providers when appropriate.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families to support treatment goals.
  • Establish and maintain trust, rapport, and therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of all client records and treatment information.
  • Guide clients in developing strategies and skills to address personal challenges.
  • Maintain active licensure(s) and comply with third-party credentialing for billing purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department director or agency leadership.
