The Mental Health Therapist (Adjunctive) provides therapeutic services, including adjunctive therapy modalities and group therapy to all levels of care. These can include music, horticulture, recreation therapies as well as educational groups such as stress management. Therapist also serves as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Mental health therapist (adjunctive) Organizes, implements and supervises groups and activities utilizing a variety of therapy skills suited for psychiatric patients. Works as a member of the treatment team towards the implementation and completion of the patient's treatment plan. Documents interactions with patients in the medical record including completion of the Therapeutic Recreation Assessment, progress notes and treatment plans. Works cooperatively with other members of the Clinical Programs Department and treatment team, provides coverage and arranges coverage when needed. Participates in departmental and system wide in-service educational opportunities and completes the required yearly system education requirement. Independently participates in continuing education to maintain the appropriate professional credential.
