About The Position

The Mental Health Therapeutic Program Worker is responsible for providing direct support and care to patients in a mental health setting. This role involves participating in the development of treatment plans, conducting patient group activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during their treatment. The position requires adaptability and strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic including addition & subtraction
  • Reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • STNA certification or listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry for certain positions
  • Valid driver's license for positions requiring transportation of consumers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health
  • Knowledge of mental health treatment practices

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of treatment plans
  • Charting, documentation, records, and reporting
  • Organizing and conducting patient group activities
  • Transport of patients to off-site appointments
  • Participating in appropriate interventions
