About The Position

The Mental Health Technician is a member of the interdisciplinary team on Inpatient Psychiatry whose duties include maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, documentation, and managing emergency situations. Duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager. Inpatient Psychiatry supports mental health constant observation on other floors in the hospital as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Patient care experience and experience with mental health preferred.
• Must have full-time availability for first week of employment to attend orientations.
• This is a bargaining union position.

Nice To Haves

• AS or BS degree in mental health or human services related field preferred.
