Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is looking for dedicated, compassionate Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to join our team! We have immediate full-time openings on both day (7a–7p) shifts. At Beacon, we specialize in inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents ages 6 to 17. Our hospital focuses on personalized, evidence-based care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field
- CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients
- Monitor and document behavior, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure a structured, supportive environment
- Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed
- Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals
- Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere
