About The Position

NorthKey Community Care is seeking 2 full-time 3rd-shift Mental Health Technicians to provide in-person basic care and support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises as part of a 23-hour Crisis Observation and Stabilization Unit . The position will be based in NorthKey's Covington, Kentucky office, located at 502 Farrell Drive. SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Full-Time Third shift (12:30 AM – 9:00 AM), Part-Time 2nd shift (4:30 pm to 1 am). WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS REQUIRED. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic care and support to individuals in a 23-hour Crisis Observation Stabilization Services unit.
  • Continuously observe patient behaviors, mental status, and activities.
  • Supervise and redirect client behavior to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • therapeutically interact with clients.
  • Coordinate with Mobile Crisis team, 988 call takers, therapy staff, law enforcement, and community partners for admitting individuals to the COSS.
  • Complete necessary documentation within required timeframes according to current standards and policies.
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
  • Exemplifies professionalism through good attendance and positive attitude.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information, following HIPAA and other applicable laws.
