Mental Health Technician - FT 1st Shift
About The Position
Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Mental Health Technician to join our 1st Shift team. In this role, you will work within our Supervised Group living and/or residential dual diagnosis programs for adults, providing supervision, support, and skill-building assistance to help clients achieve their highest level of independence. WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR? Mental Health Technicians work in a residential setting with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder to assist in developing recovery and independent living skills. We utilize a person centered approach to help residents reach their recovery goals. Mental Health Technicians are not responsible for hands-on care. We offer an individualized orientation program to help you learn how to effectively work with our residents that must be completed within six months of hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with individuals having psychiatric conditions desirable.
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week
- Schedule 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
- Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
