As a Mental Health Technician, you’ll be working hand-in-hand with our Licensed Nursing Staff, providing patient care and helping create a therapeutic space where people can thrive. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment)
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline
  • Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) regulations—or meet specific background criteria as listed below:
  • Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training requirements can be waived if the employee demonstrates competency in required content areas. Must meet one of the following:
  • Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program and completed a fundamentals of nursing course
  • Was a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure exam in the past 3 years
  • Certified as a nursing assistant per state regulation
  • Certified or trained in UAP curriculum
  • Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician in the past 3 years
  • Completed UAP training in Missouri within the last 3 years
  • Completed a professional or practical nursing program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure in this country
  • UAPs from staffing agencies must comply with training requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)
  • Previous mental health experience
  • BCLS certification

  • Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our awesome nursing team
  • Keeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyone
  • Taking on a variety of duties (from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting) – no two days are the same!
  • Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supported
