About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Mental Health Technician in our Behavioral Health Unit working in the pediatric unit at Wolfson Children's Hospital Jacksonville Fl, (Downtown) This is a FT Days opportunity 7:00am-7:00pm. As a Mental Health Technician, you will be responsible for: Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.Documents observations on assigned patients. Communicates appropriate information regarding patient's condition. Assists with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, assists with admissions/discharges as assigned. CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. This Mental Health Technician will be located at Wolfson Children's Hopsital. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Less than 1 year Mental Health Technician Experience
- Nursing Assistant Experience
- Corpsman Experience
- Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
