Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson, TN has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker. Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent is required.
- At least one (1) year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting.
- Must be able to work a rotation of 3 days on/2 days off 2 days on/3 off if working full time.
- Hours will be Days: 6:45 am-7:15pm.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments.
- Psychiatric experience or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military.
Responsibilities
- Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
- Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior.
- Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
- Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
- Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
- Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate.
