About The Position
Mental Health Technician II - Kornegay Foster Home This position will be located at our Kornegay Foster Home in Dothan, Alabama 12 HOUR PITMAN SCHEDULE 7AM - 7PM WEEK I: TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY WEEK II: MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY Alabama State Retirement Option Available
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Good MVR, willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
- Must be 21 years or older, good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
Responsibilities
- Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
- Teaching group and individual basic living skills
- Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
- Ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
- Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
