Mental Health Technicians in our Geriatric program care for clients in a nursing home setting while working with individuals on living, social, and financial skills and treatment direction/follow through all while being a key support staff to our therapeutic team. Our Mental Health Technicians learn proper documentation techniques and other state and federal standards followed by the Alabama Department of Mental Health. What you'll be doing: Deliver direct clinical and program support services. Ensure Basic Living Skills are provided as indicated on treatment plan. Ensure Family Support is provided as indicated on treatment plan. Complete administrative and clinical paperwork. Provide clinical documentation which is present, accurate, timely, and in accordance to all regulatory standards. Complete paperwork needed to open case immediately upon receipt from therapist. Complete documentation needed to bill and collect for services. Complete reports, documentation, and nursing home audits by established deadlines. Complete documentation in Avatar on a daily basis. Assist Therapist in updating consents, getting Treatment Plan signatures, etc. Complete peer review as directed by supervisor. Provides clinical services in other clinical settings as needed. Maintain Geriatric Services section in the nursing home medical record. Maintain Spirit, Quality, and Productivity expectations of WellStone. Follow established Geriatric Services policies and procedure. Complete other duties as assigned.
