Mental Health Technician
About The Position
Main Line Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join their team. This role involves functioning in a collaborative process with the Psychiatric Staff Nurse, adhering to approved policies, procedures, and schedules as directed by the Registered Nurse. The Mental Health Technician, operating under the license of the Registered Nurse, assists in providing nursing care with direct RN supervision to ensure safe and quality patient care. Main Line Health encourages career development through Education & Development Classes, offering relevant courses, tools, and resources. Ongoing feedback and career development are provided by managers through performance appraisals and 1:1 communication.
Requirements
- High School or GED
- BLS Certified, or obtained within first 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- One year of psychiatric experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit or comparable experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Function in a collaborative process with the Psychiatric Staff Nurse in accordance with approved policies, procedures and schedules as directed by the Registered Nurse
- Assist in the provision of nursing care with direct supervision by the RN to assure safe and quality nursing care
