About The Position

The Mental Health Technician position at Bay Psychiatric Associates involves supporting interventional psychiatry by administering TMS and Ketamine therapies to patients suffering from depression. Technicians will work full-time across the Berkeley and Corte Madera locations, engaging directly with patients and ensuring comprehensive treatment documentation and follow-up care.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in psychiatry.
  • Comfortable working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to administer TMS and Ketamine therapies after training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar database systems.
  • Familiarity with mental health treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and monitor daily TMS & Ketamine treatments for patients.
  • Complete all necessary treatment documentation and scheduling for patients.
  • Administer all IVP patient treatments and monitor for any medical concerns.
  • Complete treatment reports and all required medical documentation for each treatment.
  • Send physician referral letters for all assigned IVP patients.
  • Close treatment charts and enter outcomes.
  • Conduct post-treatment follow-up calls to patients up to two years after treatment.
  • Prepare, distribute, and respond to all assigned office correspondence.
  • Check voicemails throughout the day and answer/return phone calls to patients, doctors, and insurance/billing companies.
  • Create and respond to emails from patients, doctors, and insurance/billing companies.
  • Complete personal daily tasks assigned in Salesforce.
  • Assess patients' daily health status and engage them throughout treatment.
  • Ensure treatment maintains full contact and address any patient problems immediately.
  • Schedule follow-up visits with their physician.
  • Provide rating scales to patients and ensure completion.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, including clinical research, marketing projects, and social media outreach.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • Keep office supplies stocked and add items to the supply order list when low.
