About The Position

The position involves facilitating the maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assisting patients with their daily living activities. The role requires establishing a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients, taking vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting routine specimens. Additionally, the position includes attending and participating in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.

Requirements

• 6 months Healthcare Experience
• De-Escalation Certification or completion within 90 days of employment and recertified annually
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs various service related activities in support of patient care and the patient care unit
• Responsible for direct and indirect care to assigned patients primarily focusing on hygiene activities of daily living, vital signs and recreational activities
