At A Mission For Michael, our adult residential program, we believe in going beyond traditional mental health care by offering a more personal, deeply compassionate healing experience. Nestled in beautiful residential homes, our dedicated clinical team provides 24/7 care in a safe and supportive boutique setting with 6-8 clients per home. Our comprehensive clinical programming blends individual and group therapy with experiential therapies such as art, music, and equine therapy. In addition to psychological evaluations, we prioritize getting to know each client’s life story and personal history. This insight into their lived experience helps us craft a treatment plan that is as unique as they are, ensuring we address not just their symptoms, but the root causes of their struggles. As a Mental Health Technician (Client Coordinator), you’ll be a vital part of the treatment process, ensuring that clients receive the care, guidance, and support they need.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Background Check: Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and any additional required background checks
  • Valid Driver’s License: Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer, walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs., and navigate stairs
  • Strong communication skills with families, clients, and staff
  • Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and patient under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Providing Direct Support – Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring a structured and supportive environment
  • Transportation & Safety – Safely transport clients to scheduled activities and medical appointments
  • Behavioral Observation – Monitor client behavior, document observations, and collaborate with clinical teams
  • Medication Support – Work with the nursing team to oversee medication self-administration
  • Environment Maintenance – Maintain cleanliness and organization within residential facilities
  • Facilitating Group Activities – Lead and document recovery-focused group sessions
  • Emergency Response – Adhere to safety protocols, conduct safety drills, and respond to crises as needed
