About The Position

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for PRN Mental Health Tech (MHT) for our men's partial programs. MHTs play a vital role in providing excellent care for our patients and are a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches. Provide direct patient care within a multidiscipline team approach. Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment. Maintain accurate and complete data and records. Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique. Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills. Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria. Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care. Completes other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • One (1) year experience in a patient related field, required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate therapeutically and age appropriately.
  • Current Georgia Driver's License with: No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years Not having multiple violations for driving without insurance No more than 2 at fault accidents on record in the past 3 years No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 7 years No convictions for serious infractions such as reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or fleeing a police officer No convictions for vehicular homicide manslaughter

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
  • Further training/education in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment is preferred.
