About The Position
The Mental Health Technician functions under the direction of the Department Manager and is responsible for the direct care of Mental Health patients based on established standards and licensure guidelines. Responsible for knowledge and implementation of the patient’s treatment plans and the mission and philosophy of Behavioral Health Services. Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while providing care within the established guidelines.
Requirements
- Associate Degree
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Technology, Psychology, Human Services, Social Work
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
- NVCI certification required within the first 90 days of hire.
- No prior job-related work experience
- General knowledge of human behaviors, abnormal and developmental psychology.
- Must be knowledgeable regarding care of mental health patients and work collaboratively with others.
- Must demonstrate competency in listed major duties and responsibilities of job description.
