Mental Health Tech Part Time Night Shift
About The Position
Baptist Health LaGrange is adding a brand new 11-bed inpatient behavioral health unit. Our focus will be providing care for adults 18 and older who require hospitalization for behavioral health needs in a safe and structured environment. The unit utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to provide care for patients. Team is made up of registered nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, recreational therapist, and psychiatrist. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Behavioral health experience and/or patient care experience preferred.
- Will be required to obtain BLS
Responsibilities
- Assists with routine patient care as delegated by nursing staff
- Assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, I & O and documents
- Complete safety rounds for patients and unit as delegated/assigned
- Maintains clean and tidy patient room/environment
- Responds to requests for service and assistance in a positive manner
- Advocate for patient
