Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2+ years of relevant work and/or personal experience with the seriously mentally ill or individuals with emotional behavior disorders.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
- 1 year of direct patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- The Mental Health Technician with assist with care and observe mentally ill patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- This includes grooming needs and observation of any abnormal behavioral or physical signs.
