Perimeter Healthcare is seeking caring, dependable Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to join our dedicated treatment team. In this vital role, you’ll provide hands-on support to patients, helping them build stability, safety, and hope during their recovery journey.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience as a Mental Health Technician or Direct Support Professional (DSP), Psychiatric Technician, Behavioral Health Aide, or Caregiver strongly preferred
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for helping others
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress environments
- Commitment to teamwork, empathy, and patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Assist with daily living activities , hygiene, and personal care needs.
- Observe, document, and report patient behaviors, progress, and safety concerns.
- Support therapeutic groups and structured activities under the direction of clinical staff.
- Respond to crisis situations calmly and effectively following safety procedures.
- Foster a compassionate, respectful, and safe environment for patients and staff.
