The Mental Health Tech provides direct patient care of psychiatric patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Facilitates groups as assigned. Monitors assess the current mental status and psychiatric symptoms of behavioral medicine patients and conduct appropriate interventions. Assists in ADL's, supervises meals and passes trays. Obtains vital signs. Assists other staff in milieu management. Maintains documentation on the patient charts. Additionally, this role involves Protected Health Information.
