About The Position

Mental Health Tech- Group Home Full-time/ Part-time Evening or Night. Mental Illness is more prevalent than ever after all we have endured in 2020. As the only free-standing psychiatric hospital in the Greater Birmingham area, we are here to help. Please join our team as we expand our services to meet the needs of our community.

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a psychiatric setting/patient care experience.
• Able to obtain a CPR certification and non-violent crisis prevention certification (company will train).
• Complete an 8-day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of mental illness and its effects on individuals.
• Patience and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Interact with individuals of all cognitive levels and various histories of trauma.
• Maintain good boundaries with patients.
• Verbally de-escalate agitated patients.
• Support teamwork within the facility.
