About The Position

SUMMARY The Mental Health Worker, in collaboration with the Clinical team provides therapeutic services to individuals and direct families to aid a client in challenges of living with the goal of increasing an individual’s sense of own well-being. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Collaborates with the Clinical Team to provide individual, and family therapies using various treatment modalities Participates in the development of the treatment plan Depending on client needs and abilities, supervises, teaches/and or models daily living activities Collaborates with the Clinical Team to provide specific interventions as specified by the treatment plan to stabilize the child or adolescent. Completes and submits client service documentation in an accurate, comprehensive and timely manner. Participates with the Clinical Team in scheduled meetings to discuss treatment strategies and services. Participates in the 24 hour/7 day a week on call schedule. Responds to calls in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. (N/A: OH BHS) Attends staff meetings, clinical meetings and team sessions with direct supervisor to process current status of cases. Attends clinical trainings as required. Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field required
  • One year of experience required in a CASSP system program
  • OH BHS: Minimum high school diploma with 3 years direct social services/clinical services experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with 1 year direct experience or Master’s degree in the social services/clinical services
  • Certification and/or Licensure as applicable by state
  • OH BHS: None required
  • Travel as needed
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
