Dungarvin is hiring Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS2) professionals for direct care roles in communities across Minnesota, ideal for individuals with experience in mental health support and behavior management. Since 1976, Dungarvin has been dedicated to providing person-centered supports, helping individuals live as independently as possible. The role involves working directly with people needing assistance, or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. The team is united by a commitment to making a difference, one person, one voice, one choice at a time. The Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs, many of whom have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement and require a highly structured environment. Homes are specially designed for safety, and the approach is consistent, person-centered, and focused on helping individuals reach their goals while maintaining safety. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including manual restraints when necessary. This role may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors, with strong training and team support provided. As a Mental Health Specialist II, you will play a hands-on role in helping people lead more independent, stable lives, emphasizing mental health and behavior management supports.
