About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS2) professionals for direct care roles in communities across Minnesota, focusing on mental health support and behavior management. Since 1976, Dungarvin has been a mission-driven team providing person-centered supports to help individuals live as independently as possible, working with people in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. The team operates in 15 states, committed to making a difference one person at a time. The Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs, many of whom have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement, and require a highly structured environment. Homes are designed for safety, and the approach is consistent, person-centered, and goal-oriented. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including manual restraints when necessary. The role may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors, and strong training and team support are provided. As a Mental Health Specialist II, the role involves hands-on support to help individuals achieve more independent, stable lives.
