Dungarvin is hiring Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS2) professionals for direct care roles in communities across Minnesota, supporting individuals with mental health support and behavior management needs. Since 1976, Dungarvin has provided person-centered supports to help people live as independently as possible, working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex medical needs across 15 states. The Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs, many of whom have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement, and require a highly structured environment. Homes are designed for safety, and the approach is consistent, person-centered, and goal-focused. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including manual restraints, due to the challenging nature of the work which may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors.
