About The Position

The FCUSD Student Wellness Team is expanding with a new Mental Health Specialist who will fill in for existing staff on leave and will provide additional mental and wellness support at school sites from the elementary to high school levels. We are looking for an independent, culturally responsive, and creative clinician with a passion for school based mental health. FCUSD clinicians work with individual students, groups, families and teams to create an integrated system of behavior and mental health. Assist with program planning, assessment, feedback, supervision, mentoring, report writing, and contract administration. Mental health services may be provided at various sites within the district and surrounding community.

Requirements

  • A minimum of four (4)years of experience working in a school setting (preferred) or related experience working with individuals aged 3 – 21 or working with schools
  • A master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, or related field.
  • Licensed to act independently in the State of California to provide mental health services (LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist).
  • As described by the state licensing board, be actively qualified to supervise interns and associates. (MFT, MSW, LCP).
  • DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check
  • TB Test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667)
  • Complete district Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment, etc.
