About The Position
The Mental Health Specialist position at Bradley Court is a full-time role focused on overseeing clients' adherence to program guidelines. The primary responsibilities include communicating with clients, providing rehabilitation groups, and assisting in crisis intervention. The position requires a commitment to ensuring that clients participate in scheduled activities and adhere to the program's standards. The working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, following a 4/2 rotation schedule. The wage for this position ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for escorting clients to various groups in a timely manner, ensuring that the group sizes maintain a 1:6 ratio. You will facilitate groups and activities as assigned, lead discussions, and conduct daily community meetings. Accurate documentation is crucial; you will need to record client participation on a tracking calendar, distribute and collect these calendars weekly, and log the information into the medical records. Encouraging client attendance and participation in groups is a key aspect of this role, as is assisting clients in completing necessary forms accurately and promptly. Additionally, you will document all interventions and interactions with clients in their medical records and report any changes in behavior to the charge nurse and Program Counselor. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be working with individuals who may present challenges. The ideal candidate will possess patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition, along with the ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
