Step Up to a Meaningful Part-Time Role: Mental Health Provider Wanted! Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), MSW, or Psych RN | 16 Hours/Week | Flexible Schedule Are you passionate about mental health and ready to make a real difference? Southern Health Partners is looking for a compassionate, skilled Mental Health Provider to join our team at Oldham County Jail. This part-time position offers the flexibility you need while giving you the opportunity to positively impact lives during critical moments. Your Role: Conduct mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations using clinical expertise and standardized tools Create and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on stabilization, life skills, and re-entry preparation Provide one-on-one and group counseling on topics like trauma, substance abuse, anger management, and coping strategies Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team—including corrections staff, healthcare providers, and probation officers—to deliver comprehensive care Facilitate referrals to internal programs and community resources to support clients beyond incarceration Maintain clear, timely documentation in line with best practices Stay informed on the latest in correctional mental health and pursue ongoing professional growth

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychiatric nursing (with minimum 2 years psychiatric RN experience)
  • Current licensure as LPC, MSW, or RN (psych preferred)
  • Knowledge and skill in evidence-based practices for justice-involved populations
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a secure, fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to cultural competence and working with diverse populations
  • All applicants must pass drug screening and facility security clearance.
